As a seller your feedback score on ebay is important from day one. To use an automated multi channel ecommerce system you’ll need 10 positive feedbacks first, but if you want to keep selling and to win in the best match search results your feedback needs to be first class.
 
Feedback can be a concern for sellers when a buyer opts to leave a negative comment. The system is there with the best intent of course and in certain situations feedback can be removed if it is abusive or if the comment impacts the sellers performance score where the feedback has nothing to do with the seller’s behaviour. For instance a complaint that an item is used when it was clearly stated as used in the first place can be removed – but only if the image was showing a used item.
 
The feedback scoring system is simple enough, +1 for a good rating, -1 for a bad rating. Obviously the idea is to increase your score… and as your score goes up so your colour of star will change and might even become a shooting star.
 
As a quick way for buyers to see you are a respected seller then the rating and star system is very useful but it is even more important than that as ebay uses your rating to influence its decision on where your listings will appear in the Best Match search results. Having a great quality listing and a great price won’t be enough if your seller history and related feedback is poor.
